Island pools: what changes across the sea
The build is the same, the logistics are not. This is how we bring a prefab pool to an island without surprises.
- The materials' journey
Panels, braces, liner and equipment fit on one truck that boards the regular ferry. Where the road ends, the parts are carried by hand.
- Less water
On dry islands we suggest, where it suits, 1.10 m panels instead of 1.50 m. The volume drops noticeably and filling is done by water truck.
- A few crew days
The team travels only once every material has arrived. The build is short, and so are the accommodation costs.
- Salt and meltemi
Stainless parts suited to sea air, a sheltered plant room, and a pool oriented so the north wind does not fill it with dust.
- When you leave
Automatic pH and chlorine dosing and, if you wish, a local partner for visits.
The calendar
In July and August the ports are crowded and many islands restrict building work. That is why we plan island projects in winter and finish them in spring.
